Week3 Diamond

For the week 3 assignment, I've done an entire photo-shoot entirely for the Bokeh effect (see the Bokeh page on the right), but my absolute favorite of all my images was this one:

This image was so beautiful to me. I loved the look of the faded light in the back-ground, so it fit the requirement. But I think the reason I love this the most is because I love the look of the back-ground light through the diamond, and I also loved the perfectly clear facets, and the way that it is quite literally the only thing in focus. What this means to me? I think the diamond looks so pure and without flaw, it was impossible to ignore.

Week2 Moth

For the week 2 assignment, I've uploaded this image in the page "nature." So feel free to check out some of the others!
Moth on a Wall
This picture is my favorite, and perhaps my best picture yet! It wasn't actually taken on the camp out, but rather was waiting for me just outside my home. I had taken this picture expecting something simple, just a moth. I found out later that I had actually used so many different artistic techniques! I love how the textures of the wall compare to the pattern of the moth's wings, and also the contrast of dark and light. The rule of thirds (if you don't know what that is, look it up) was also used, and it was crystal clear with ideal lighting. I absolutely love how the moth immediately attracts your attention, but how it could almost blend in as well. It was a perfect, accidental masterpiece!
