Light Painting

For the week 5 assignment, I went out with my mom to do a small photo-shoot with paintings of light!

We started out in the front yard to do some writing. This one was just really cute and fun, I'm surprised it worked so well, with the letters very clear and not too randomly spread. Also, so happy that the lights didn't catch too much of me writing it. Though if you look closely, you'll see the shadow of my legs, and the shadow of my mom at the camera too! :)
This just looks so cool, with a blue light saber and a normal flashlight that I waved in a figure 8 pattern in both hands, making a cool affect I didn't expect. You can also see my legs sticking out the bottom.
This one was my favorite to imagine and set up, though I gave my mom a hard time about how to do the lighting. I do feel bad about that. Still, the effect is awesome. I was going for a mysterious, female hero expression, with a flame-like look behind me. Although it wasn't totally ideal, I loved some of the odd effects that were included, like my shadow behind me makes it look very impressive, and the tilt of the window-frame builds a little bit of tension and action there. And I admit it, I liked my clothing choice too.
This one was my mom's idea, but I still loved doing it! It took a lot of tries, since I would often go off screen, or write the words backwards. Still, it worked out in the end, and I loved the look of it!
I didn't expect for this to look cool either. I did want the wings look, but my mom accidentally added her own little piece of creativity to it! The wings were well done, and the blue, silk-like glow in front of me looked very regal, and I'd love to experiment more with that in the future!
On the other hand, I simply couldn't resist making my mom a devil too, if I was going to do an angel! And we all know that parents have their bad days, so I found it very comedic. Plus, that pose was a perfect one, and I absolutely loved it! And check it out, I'm in there too!
This was just an amateur attempt to do what other photographers have done, and it didn't even turn out too bad! Oh course, I knew it would, because I'm brilliant and have a magical aura that is always around me. I say jokingly.
These last two, (above and below) are both very similar, with rather minor differences. I liked the look of a ghost of me fighting the physical me, with an odd blue spectator me watching the whole battle! It was very hard to pull off, but way worth it, just to watch me with... me. That was cool. I also considered that there could be a deeper meaning, like that the spiritual side of a person could sometimes attack a person, and possibly hurt or defeat a person. But that is a very deep thought.
